Learn how to play the game the right way at our Flag Football Skills camp in Troy, MI. Silverback Athletics Flag Football Camps have the intention to provide campers with some of the best training in the area. Our coaches and Staff ensure participants are taught proper instruction and etiquette for the game of football.

 

We welcome athletes of all abilities to this camp as the coaches will work tirelessly to make sure campers are hitting their goals for the week. Offensive and defensive position drills follow a proper stretching and warm-up each day, along with fun football competitions. Camp Details

Instruction will develop fundamentals and advanced skills, focusing on footwork, specific positions, team play, and game situations.

Winter Camp Registration closes on 12/10/2023. You can expect a high demand on these first-come-first-serve camper spots, so please be sure to register early.

 

Camp Information

  • Date: December 29-30, 2023

  • Age Group: 8-18

  • Camp Type: Day Camp

  • Schedule: Friday-Saturday | 9:00am-12:00pm

  • Check-In: Begins 30 minutes prior to the camp start time.

  • Meals: Lunch is not provided. Please bring a snack/lunch to camp each day.

  • Daily Football Instruction

  • Supervision: Campers are supervised by staff during camp hours

Instruction & Facility

  • Offensive Skills: Specific Position Skill Work, Hand-Eye Coordination, Ball Handling and Position, Passing Drills, Catching Drills, Proper Grip and Throwing, Running Routes

  • Defensive Skills: Specific Position Skill Work, Explanation of Defenses (Zone/Man-to-Man), Footwork, Flag pulling

  • Ratio: 1:10 staff to camper ratio

  • Groupings: Campers are initially grouped by age and moved around accordingly based on skill level.

  • Facility: Indoor Fields.

  • Warm-up jacket

  • Cleats (NO metal-tip cleats) & sneakers

  • Gloves

  • Sunscreen

  • Water bottle

  • Packed lunch and snacks

 

Medical Protocol

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

Silverback Athletics Camps does not provide transportation from airports, train stations or bus depots. If you have a child flying to camp, please arrange a shuttle or taxi service.
